Car hauler scores $100,000 lottery win

Saying “yes” to Encore helped a car hauler turn $1 into $100,000.

Robert Temple of St. Thomas, Ont., matched the last six of seven numbers in exact order in the Sept. 7, 2024 Lotto 6/49 draw to score a win, according to a news release.

The truck driver has been playing the lottery with OLG for five years. The father of four enjoys playing Lotto 6/49 and Lotto Max. He adds Encore to his tickets and uses the quick pick feature to make his selections.

Robert was thrilled to share the news of his first big win.

“I was sitting at my kitchen table when I decided to check my ticket using the OLG app,” Robert said in the release. “It was unbelievable! I shared the good news with my wife, kids, and best friends. Like me, everyone was so happy and excited.”

He added, “Winning feels fantastic. Things just got a little easier and I have a little less stress. I plan to invest my winnings for my retirement and take a trip.”
